Stop by to visit the library and take advantage of the many resources we have in the building! If we don’t have something you’re looking for, we can find out where to get it.

The library’s book collections include non-fiction, fiction, audiobooks, large print, graphic novels, and more!

The library’s Teen Spot is open to teens grades 6-12. In addition to the Young Adult book collection, there is a craft corner with electronic demolition, and three video game stations. The Children’s Area is full of books for children and parents to explore. There are always many activities available including games, make-and-take arts and crafts, Makerspace stations, toys, music and audiobooks, themed activity stations, and much more!

There are 8 public-access computers which can be used for internet access and black-and-white printing.


The library has an extensive collection of DVD and Blu-Ray discs.

The collection is currently divided into Family films, Feature films, TV Shows, Non-fiction films/Documentaries, and Spanish-language films.

The library has a microfilm-reader that can be used to view archival film strips.

The library’s collection of Great Bend Tribune newspaper archives dates back to 1908.


The library subscribes to a number of newspapers and magazines, which are available in our reading area.

Magazines that are not the most current (past issues) may be checked out for 7 days.
